The First International CLaDA-BG Conference will take place in hybrid mode in Varna, Bulgaria on 6-7 September 2021 in conjunction with RANLP 2021.

Are you a Bulgarian researcher or a practitioner involved in work on applying novel language technologies, or pushing the boundaries of digital humanities research and applications? Then this is the right forum for you to share your work!
Are you a foreign researcher or a practitioner interested to see what work is being done in Bulgaria, or involved in projects which are relevant ot Bulgaria? Then this form is definitely for you as well – and the hybrid mode would allow you to follow it fully even if travel is still complicated.
At this time the conference invites extended abstracts which will undergo peer review. the authors of accepted papers will have the opportunity to present online or on site.

Context
CLaDA-BG is the Bulgarian national research infrastructure for resources and technologies for linguistic, cultural and historical heritage, integrated within CLARIN EU and DARIAH EU. Its mission is to provide access to the necessary resources and technologies that would support the research in Social Sciences and Humanities (SS&H). Modeling and linking of various types of knowledge and its contexts is crucial for the successful research in the interdisciplinary field of resources and technologies related to language, art and history.
This is the first edition of the CLaDA-BG conference. It will be held in a hybrid mode: face-to-face and online via Zoom.
The conference aims at bringing together NLP and DH developers, linguists, digital humanitarians, scholars and all parties interested in knowledge modeling and linking data for research.
Submission details
The conference welcomes oral presentations or posters (optionally with demo). They must be submitted as extended abstracts (up to
three pages including references) in PDF format, in accordance with the template of RANLP 2021 conference.
Extended abstracts must be submitted through the conference management software START:
Abstracts will be reviewed by at least two members of the Programme Committee.
Conference fee
The participation at the conference is free of charge, but registration is required.
The participants on site joining the conference dinner will pay for it.
Proceedings
The event committes plans to publish a Proceedings of refereed full papers as a special volume of Springer book series. Thus, a focused Call will be sent after the conference. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two members of the PC/external reviewers.
